02: Waldbühne

June 2014 – Berlin – Gustavo Dudamel, Berlin Philharmonic

The Waldbühne is one of my favourite places to play. The atmosphere of 25,000 people listening to our concerts there in the open air is amazing – there really isn’t anything like it. If it doesn’t rain, that is… We were lucky for our second programme of Sarah´s Music, it was great weather, the mosquitos were staying away and I had one of my favourite conductors to interview. Gustavo Dudamel is like a pop star in the music world and his concert with us at the Waldbühne was a real party, the Berliners love him! And the world will love his Horn Challenge here…

In this episode you will find out how we musicians survive an open air concert and what is the favourite picnic food of Berliners.  If you can ever make it to the Berlin Philharmonic´s end of season concert at the Waldbühne, do come. I promise you will love it!
